GUILLERMO RIGONDEAUX…

Is widely considered the best amateur boxer of all time. Rogondeaux won the Gold medal for Cuba at Bantamweight at the 2000 and 2004 Olympics.

He was also the Gold medalist at the 2003 PanAm Games, the 2006 Central American Games, and many other international tournaments.

Rigondiaux tried to defect from Cuba in 2007 but was caught and not allowed to compete for the next two years.

YUDEL JOHNSON…

Is a Jr. Middleweight Boxer, best known for winning Olympic Silver at the 2004 Athens Olympics for Cuba at Light Welterweight.

Johnson also won the Featherweight Gold at the 1999 PanAm Games, as well as being the Light Welterweight Gold medalist at the 2006 Central American and Caribbean games.

YORDANIS DESPAIGNE…

Is a Cuban boxer who has medaled repeatedly in international tournaments as a Middleweight. In Belfast at the 2001 Word Amateur Boxing. Championships he won a Bronze medal.

At the PanAm Games in 2003 he beat future pro standout Andre Dirrell and ended up with a Silver medal. At the 2004 Olympics, he beat future pro fighter, Jean Pascal and Karoly Balzsay but lost to Andre Dirrell 11-12 in the quarterfinals. Despaigne also won the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games.

YUNIER DORTICOS…

Is a young Cuban fighter who has been very impressive in his early career.

He was a Silver medalist in the Cuban championships in 2005, 2007 at 178 pounds, as well as a Gold medalist in 2008. In 2005, at the Bolivarian Alt Games, Dorticos won Gold at 178, and in 2007 he won Bronze in the same tournament, competing at 200 pounds.
